Smile
by Java Bomani

When I look in her face,
the tired Monday morning blues
rush away…
swirling down the drain
like cool water.

Rinsing away a good nights sleep
From eyes so tired
of the same ol… same ol…

Sometimes I must stand back
and admire,
How her smile
can inspire,
desire.

From one gaze without even trying.

When will I see your smile again?
This must be where Bell, Biv, Devoe
got their flow.

If there’s more behind the allure,
someone has a treasure
that won’t depreciate,
I hope he appreciates.

Because if he makes her frown,
I’ll turn it upside down
and give BBD their answer.
