Hip Hop killed R & B,

then killed it’s self.

Rock and Roll was merely wounded,

got medical help, and is now rehabbing and plottin revenge.

Jazz played the back of the room.

Too small potatoes for Hip Hop’s concern.

Jazz always was laid back and cool.

Just watching…

too experienced to jump at every fool.

Why get up?

Why spill this brilliantly mixed drink?

Why ruffle his threads?

He knew before long this loud ass dude would be dead.

He didn’t expect it so soon.

He thought it’d be around longer.

And he damn sure didn’t expect it to self murder.

But anyway…

He’ll just play his horn,

sip his whiskey made from Corn,

and savor Lucille’s sweetness.
