Da Sista Queen
by Java Bomani

Look at her over there, yeah,
that's my Sista Queen.
I praise for days, the creator's greatest creation.
What I did to deserve such a treasure.
Her complexities, go beyond measure.

A powerful Sista, down for the battle.
Sista Queens, don't let her family rattle.
Sista Queens, never look to the other side.
Da super strong Sista is there for the long ride.

Took the abuse when she was way past fed up.
and never forgot to always keep her head up.
When mine slipped, she was quick to remind me
all her love and support was behind me.

I take on the world head first, never disperse,
Or curse my Queen, Or treat her obscene.
Black Man, Black Woman each one half his essence.
Now that the lesson's learned he awaits our return.

My Sista Queen, I thank God for you.
Cause I don't know, where I'd be without you.

I was Raised proud of self, thank god my Mama Duke
showed me, what a Sister Queen should be.
She said, treat em like a lady, cause everyone's your sister.
Drop her ass, quick fast if you can't trust her.

Yes, the woman at my side must be,
to our children, everything she was to me.
No negative thoughts, that don't appeal.
She don't watch soap operas and think the shit is real.

She don't want a White house, with a White picket fence.
Prince Charming on a White horse,
bought her a White Porsche.

Sista Queens are down their fella,
Like Winnie was with Nelson Mandela.
Nothings too good, though she don't ask for much.
So I give her more and more,
cause that's what she deserves.

I do for her, in every way I can.
I'm her Black King, her faithful Black Man.

She's my kind of woman, some never let the chaos cease.
My Sista, My Queen knows the value of peace.

I rub her body and mind, till total exhaustion.
Stick like pages, when we engage,
till we collapse, on our backs.

I hope It'll be this way forever.
In these days, it ain't easy to stay together.
She watches her weight and health.
Never makes me feel like I want to be anywhere else.
She's can do something that leaves NB's froze.
She can represent while wearing her clothes.
